Research Overview
Scaling up technologies for air pollution control is imperative with increasing urbanization and industrialization. Our pioneering project, the Smog Tower, is a first-of-its-kind pilot study focused on examining the efficacy of a medium-scale outdoor air cleaner. Additionally, we have deployed several low-cost sensor networks and developed a real-time IoT-based scalable air quality monitoring system. Such networks provide timely air quality data, empowering individuals and authorities to make informed decisions, take prompt actions to safeguard public health, and promote citizen-science initiatives.
